Borders

"Yellow Flower"
Date: April 27; Location: BYU-I ; F/stop and Shutter Speed: 8.0; 1/250.  After creating a layer mask I played around with different brush strokes and I found a fun one.  After  using the brush to bring back the picture I added text and changed the color of it.

"Engagements"
Date: April 5; Location: Lehi, UT; F/stop and Shutter Speed: 3.1; 1/150. I wanted to try a border for my engagement pictures and thought a black and white with a vignette would look good. After creating a new layer I used the rectangular Marquee and highlighted the section I wanted visible. I lowered the opacity just a little, but I wanted the edges dark to focus on us.

"Hotel Meade"
Date: May 25; Location: Bannack, MT; F/stop and Shutter Speed: 10.0; 1/250. This picture is similar to the flower shot where I  made  a layer mask and used a brush to reveal the parts of the picture I want show.

Scanography

"Bananagrams"
Date: June 4, Camera: Scanner.  This game is a multiplayer  speed scrabble.   My friends and I really enjoy this game so this picture is a tribute to them. I tried to make it a black background but I really struggled with it, but white works also.

"Cards"
Date: June 4, Camera: Scanner.  On my mission I collected many different types of playing cards.  The reason I have so many different cards was for a game called 'Nerts' which is a speed solitaire game.  I mixed red and blue cards together and laid them on the scanner. I also scanned many different cards and cut them out of their picture and pasted them to the main picture.

Date: June 4, Camera: Scanner.   Most of the cards I used came from this picture.   I used the quick tool to highlight them, then cut them out of the picture and pasted them to the main picture.

Action Blur and Freeze

"Splash"
Date and Time: May 25, 11:15am; Location: Bannack, MT; f/stop and Shutter Speed: 4.5, 1/1000 I wasn't too impressed with my action shots, but this was the best out of my action freeze shots. You can tell how dirty the water is by the color in the middle of the splash. I added vibrance to enhance the color
"Lingering Guest"
Date and Time: May 25, 11:20am; Location: Bannack, MT; f/stop and Shutter Speed: 22.0, 6.0 I didn't have a tripod to use so I put the camera on the ground and used the strap of the camera to angle the camera up. Leaving the shutter speed open for six seconds the 'ghost' moved into a nearby room after three seconds.
"Ghost Students"
Date and Time: May 25, 6pm; Location: Bannack, MT; f/stop and Shutter Speed: 22.0, 4.0 Left the shutter speed open for four seconds then had the 'students' mover after two and a half seconds while the 'teacher' didn't move.
